SHINee and Their Moms Story (Mothers Day Special)

How Shawols can get to know more about SHINee without buying any magazine or go to entertainment websites? We watch their TV Shows of course. SHINee participated in many TV, cable TV, and radio shows. Since today is Mother’s Day, here some stories from SHINee about their mom.

Mom’s Story From Onew

Onew is the only son. In his teenage days, he is one of the top smartest boys in the school. If his teacher or friends ask about what is his ambition, he’s been wanted to say ‘Singer’. But, since he is a top student, telling them that will be embarrassing. So he told his mom and dad that he wants to be a singer. His mom and dad support his decision. Onew begin self-learning the piano. Since his mom supports his dream to be a singer, he was not afraid to tell anyone that he wants to be a singer. He also becomes a trainee in SM Town Academy and go there after school. In his trainee photos, we can see him in a school uniform a lot. (Source: SHINee Sparta Show)

Mom’s Story From JongHyun

JongHyun’s mom opened a daycare. So she is a person who always talks softly and lovingly to the kids and also to him even he is over 20’s. Every time JongHyun visited his mom at home, she always calls him dearly like he is still a 4-year-old boy. JongHyun liked it so much when he was a kid but as he is a grown up now, he felt weird when his mom talks to him like that. Especially, when his mom says,’ My beautiful and cute son, JongHyun’ to him. For example, ‘My beautiful and cute son, let’s have dinner..’ (source: Hello Counselor)

Mom’s Story From Key

Key told the viewers that his parents are both working and in his childhood, his grandparents were raising him. He also went to Los Angeles to study language and diving in his teenage years. Key is no doubt come from a wealthy family but because of that, he hasn't met his parents so much. His mom paid his trip to LA and bought him a lot of branded clothes so he has a different fashion sense from other SHINee members. (Source: Radio Star)

Mom’s Story From MinHo

Our MinHo participated in My Last 48 Hours show. He needs to do what he really wants if he only has 48 hours left in this world. What he did was he wants to spend time with his dad, cook for him, spend time with his mom, and lastly he wants to be alone in a room (but surprisingly Onew came). He didn’t manage to meet his mom so he just called her instead. His mom didn’t do anything at the moment. Out of the blue, his mom said, ‘You should come home and introduce your girlfriend to me,’ to MinHo. She also said since MinHo never had a girlfriend, she worried that his life is not fun at all (and all Shawols including MinHo were so confused with that). Finally, Minho said, ‘Don’t say something like that, mom,’ to her because it’s weird and too all of sudden. (Source: My Last 48 Hours)

Mom’s Story From TaeMin

TaeMin’s mom saw his passion in dance when he was a little kid. She supports TaeMin’s decision to be a singer because she believed that TaeMin can do it. She came to SHINee’s concert to watch TaeMin performing on stage. TaeMin lives with his parents after moving out from SHINee dorm (SM Town let their senior artist to live outside). With all money he earned, he bought his parents a house and a car.  During his trip to Switzerland, he wrote something on the window glass. It’s his mom’s name.
