It is not an easy procedure to be selected as a candidate winner in this award. In order to renew and redefine the Daejong Film Festival, which has the best tradition and history in Korea, the preliminary screening committee (the chairman of the presidium and the president of the film criticism association) is composed of 32 people who are recommended by the culture and arts and academia. After 10 days of examination, the final candidate (work) was selected.
The Organizing Committee of the Daejong Awards Film Festival has decided to release the entire screening process to the media with the permission of the judges from the main judges this year. In the meantime, we will eliminate the traditional exhibition system that has been implemented in the meantime, and plan to select candidates for the entire Korean films screened during the period from the 55th Daejong Award Festival next year.
