(Grammar) -으러/러 and -으로/로

-으러/러 means in order to. -으러 follows verb roots which end with consonant while -러 is for vocal. Example:

  • 나 만나러 왔어요? Did you come to see me?
  • 밥 먹으러 갔어요? Did the person go to eat?
-으로/로 means to (a place ). -으로 is for at the end of nouns that have the consonant, while -로 is for vocal.
  • 이쪽으로 오세요. Come this way.
  • 학교로 가세요.  Go to school.
